PRODUCT VALIDATION CANVAS
Stop Guessing, Start Knowing: The Product Validation Canvas

The Product Validation Canvas is your blueprint for de-risking innovation. By focusing on three critical dimensions—Viability, Desirability, and Feasibility—this tool provides a structured framework for hypothesis-driven experimentation.
From customer interviews and willingness-to-pay surveys to prototyping and technology evaluations, the canvas helps you validate whether your product idea aligns with market needs, customer desires, and technical feasibility.
How to use this tool
- Define your hypothesis Start by brainstorming key assumptions about your product idea. Divide these into three dimensions: Viability: Should we build this? Desirability: Do customers want this? Feasibility: Can we build this?
- Use the canvas to help you identify and plan the appropriate experiments for Viability, Desirability and Feasability. Document your hypotheses, select the best tests, setup the tests, gather test results, and identify important insights.
- Prioritize next steps. Together with your team, take the top 3-5 actionable insights from your testing and analysis, and plot them in the Flywheel Decision Matrix.

Validation for Growth
Validating a product idea before you invest in development saves time, money, and effort while ensuring your innovation delivers value.
- The Product Validation Canvas helps you identify which hypotheses to test, validate customer demand, and evaluate technical feasibility.
- By building confidence in your decisions through experimentation, you reduce risk, align resources effectively, and increase your chances of launching a successful, scalable product.
